Established for over 115 years we are a major independent partnership of accountants and taxation advisors and one of the UK’s top 40 accountancy firms.

The origin of the firm dates back to 1888 when Charles Larking purchased a small Norwich practice. When his sons joined as partners, the firm became Larking and Larking and developed into a sizeable practice. In 1969 the present firm was formed by the merger of Larking & Larking with Harman & Gowen, another well established Norfolk practice which had been founded in 1906. Since then the firm has seen rapid growth and now has ten offices throughout East Anglia.

This expansion has included the setting up of specialist departments in Corporate Finance, Personal Tax, Legal, Medical and Business Recovery to name a few. Our partners are all qualified accountants in a number of different disciplines. An in-house technical department provides support which ensures that we maintain high technical competence in all areas of accountancy, taxation and business matters. This also means that our advice to you remains completely up to date.
