David Whitehead appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy

12th February 2010
It is business as usual for a North Norfolk Hotel despite its owner being declared bankrupt.

Following the issue of a Bankruptcy order against Ranald Maxted who traded as the Aylsham Lodge Hotel, David Whitehead a partner at chartered accountants and business advisors Larking Gowen has been appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy.

The hotel has 15 rooms and employs 13 full and part time staff.

“Mr Maxted’s bankruptcy relates primarily to a previous business, rather than the trading performance of the Aylsham Lodge Hotel.” said David Whitehead.

“The hotel is operating as normal, we have no plans for any redundancies and all functions booked will take place – if anyone has any concerns they should contact the hotel or Larking Gowen.

“Mr Maxted is currently seeking to annul his bankruptcy and pay all debtors in full which would mean the hotel returning to his ownership.”

Any creditors of Ranald Maxted or the Aylsham Lodge Hotel should send details of their claim in writing to: Larking Gowen, 15 Upper King Street, Norwich NR3 1RB or call 0845 450 2466.
